Born and raised in Oakland, CA, I was fortunate enough to attend The Berkeley Children’s Art Studio as a kid which gave me confidence as an artist and respect for the process of creating art. I studied art history and studio sculpture at UCSB and printmaking at College of The Redwoods. I trained under master printmakers Kazuko Watanabe and Emmanuel Montoya at KALA Art Institute in Berkeley where I did my residency. I work primarily in reduction linocut which I hand press in limited editions---mostly one-of-a-kind. My work is in private collections in the US and UK and can be viewed at The Mendocino Art Center (www.mendocinoartcenter.org), where I teach a weekly linocut class and weekend workshops, or by contacting me ([email protected]). After two years of teaching linocut to the incredible group of artists at Art Explorers, I have recently been working one-on-one with the developmentally disabled here in Fort Bragg.
